Product
Beet molasses (sugar beet molasses) is the thick dark liquid left after sugar is extracted from sugar beet. It is an industrial raw material, not a retail food product: buyers use it as an energy component in compound feed and rations, as a carbon source in fermentation, and as feedstock for yeast, alcohol and organic acid production.
Sugar beet molasses in industrial lots for feed mills, livestock producers, yeast and fermentation plants, ethanol producers and industrial ingredient distributors. The specification is agreed per lot.
Cane and blackstrap molasses come from sugar cane and have a different sugar and ash profile. If your process requires cane molasses, tell us in the request and we will check separately.
We do not sell bottled or table molasses. Supply starts from wholesale industrial lots; the minimum lot is confirmed during calculation.
Specification
GOST 30561-2017 “Beet molasses. Specifications” is used as one of the reference specifications, alongside the specification agreed with the buyer. Conformity of a particular lot is never assumed: it is confirmed by the documents of that lot.
| Indicator | Reference requirement, GOST 30561-2017 | Example of an actual lot |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Thick viscous opaque liquid | Thick viscous opaque liquid |
| Colour | Brown to dark brown | Brown |
| Odour | Typical of beet molasses, no foreign odour | Conforms |
| Solubility in water | Complete | Dissolved |
| Dry substances, % | min. 75.0 | 79.2 |
| Sucrose by direct polarization, % | min. 43.0 | 47.9 |
| Reducing substances, % | max. 1.0 | 0.6 |
| pH | 6.5 to 8.5 | 7.1 |
Swipe the table sideways to see both columns.
The reference column is a benchmark, not a promise that every lot conforms to it. The example column shows values of one actual lot and is not a guarantee for future shipments. The characteristics of an offered lot are confirmed by its current quality passport or test protocol and agreed in the contract. For some countries the standard sets its own values for several indicators; these are taken into account when the specification is agreed.
Applications
Suitability for a specific process is assessed against your technical requirements before an offer is made.
Energy and binding component in compound feed and feed mixes; also used to reduce dust and improve palatability of rations.
Liquid carbohydrate component in cattle and small ruminant rations and as an additive for silage preparation.
Fermentable sugars of beet molasses are a classic nutrient medium for baker’s and feed yeast.
Carbon source for ethanol, organic acids, amino acids and other microbiological processes.
Other applications — including any use in food production — are considered only after we review the buyer’s requirements and the documents required in the destination country.
Selection
Different processes look at different values. Feed mills usually start from dry substances and sugar content per tonne. Yeast and fermentation plants also look at reducing substances, pH and the impurity profile that affects the culture.
Send your target specification and application with the request. We compare it with the available lots and tell you plainly whether a lot matches, needs adjustment of the specification, or is not suitable.
Origin and destination
Turkey Logistic is a Turkey-based trade and logistics operator, not a producer. Goods can ship from the country of origin directly to your destination; transit through Turkey is not required.
We do not publish a list of origins: availability, origin and route are confirmed for each lot and stated in the documents. Before a contract is signed we also check the import requirements of your country for feed or industrial use, so that the document set is agreed in advance.
Origin, availability, volume, loading format and route are confirmed for the specific lot and fixed in the contract.
We do not substitute the agreed origin or specification without the buyer’s approval.
Loading and transport
Molasses is a viscous liquid, so the transport format is confirmed for the selected lot and route, together with the season and the discharge facilities at destination. The options below are the formats normally used in this trade, not a standing offer. Transport is arranged as sea freight or road freight, depending on the direction.
For regional deliveries and buyers with tanker discharge and storage tanks, where the route allows it.
For large volumes, where rail delivery to the buyer or to a transshipment point is available on the confirmed route.
For sea routes and destinations without bulk liquid terminals, subject to lot and route confirmation.
For smaller lots and buyers who need the product in separate units, subject to lot confirmation.
No transport format is promised in advance: it is confirmed for the selected lot and route. Tell us how you can receive the product — tanker discharge, flexitank discharge, storage capacity and heating — and we will propose a workable option.
Incoterms and documents
The delivery basis is fixed once the route is confirmed; named ports and terminals are stated in the offer. Import formalities at destination depend on your country — where needed we can discuss customs clearance support and end-to-end supply.
Loading at the named port of shipment; the buyer arranges the main carriage.
Freight to the named port of destination is arranged on the seller’s side.
As CFR, plus cargo insurance to the named port of destination.
FCA, DAP and other bases are discussed after the route and transport mode are confirmed.
Availability of representative samples and pre-contract copies of quality documents is confirmed for the selected lot. Final documents accompany the shipment as agreed in the contract.

You send the destination, volume, application, required specification and how you can receive the product.
We check availability, the lot documents, the route and the requirements of your country.
You receive the specification, loading format, delivery basis, price and shipment period for the confirmed lot.
Quality, documents, inspection, delivery basis and payment terms are fixed in the contract.
The lot is loaded and shipped on the agreed basis with its document set.
FAQ
The specification is agreed for each supply. GOST 30561-2017 for beet molasses is used as one reference, and your own specification can be used instead. Conformity is not automatic: the values of the offered lot are confirmed by its quality passport or test protocol.
We do not publish a fixed price. It depends on the volume, origin, loading format, delivery basis, route, destination and market conditions at the time of the offer, and is confirmed after the lot is agreed.
We work with wholesale industrial lots only. There is no public minimum: it depends on the available lot, the loading format and the route, and is confirmed during calculation.
We do not publish a list of origins. Origin is confirmed for the specific lot, stated in the documents and not substituted without your approval.
This page covers sugar beet molasses. Cane and blackstrap molasses are different products; if your process needs them, say so in the request and we will check separately.
Bulk or container loading: road tanker, rail tank car, flexitank in a container or IBC. No format is promised in advance — the transport format is confirmed for the selected lot and route, taking your discharge facilities into account.
FOB, CFR and CIF for confirmed routes; FCA, DAP and other bases are discussed after the route and transport mode are confirmed.
The quality passport or test protocol of the lot, commercial and transport documents. A certificate of origin and documents required by your country are prepared on request after the lot is confirmed.
Availability of representative samples and pre-contract copies of quality documents is confirmed for the selected lot. Sampling and independent inspection are agreed for that lot, and the final documents accompany the shipment as agreed in the contract.
Yes, regular supply is discussed as a separate contract. Tell us your monthly or annual demand and the delivery schedule you need.
Payment terms are agreed individually after the lot is confirmed and are fixed in the contract.
Your company, destination country and point of delivery, volume per shipment, expected frequency, application, target specification, preferred loading format and Incoterm, shipment period and the documents you need.
Buyers search for beet molasses under many names: sugar beet molasses, feed molasses, molasses for animal feed, or simply bulk molasses. For an industrial buyer the practical questions are the same — what the dry substances and sugar content of the lot are, which documents come with it, how it will be loaded and discharged, and on which delivery basis it reaches the destination.
Turkey Logistic works on these questions as a Turkey-based trade and logistics operator: we check the lot and its documents, confirm the route and the requirements of the destination country, and fix everything in the contract. You can read more about our company or contact the office directly.
Beet molasses comes from sugar beet processing, cane molasses from sugar cane. Blackstrap is the final cane molasses fraction. They differ in sugar profile, ash and taste, which is why beet molasses is used mainly in feed and fermentation rather than in food retail.
Commercial offers often quote Brix, while the standard specification for beet molasses is written in dry substances and sucrose by direct polarization. When you compare offers, compare the same parameters and always against the lot document, not against a website figure.
In feed, molasses is valued as an energy and binding component; in yeast and fermentation plants, as a carbon source. The requirements differ, so the same lot is not automatically suitable for every process.
Because the product is viscous, discharge capability at destination decides the format: a tanker needs a receiving tank, a flexitank needs a discharge point at the container, IBC units are handled with ordinary equipment. Season and temperature affect pumping as well.
Each lot comes with its quality passport or test protocol and the commercial and transport documents. A certificate of origin and destination-country documents for feed or industrial use are prepared on request after the lot is confirmed.
Volume and frequency, origin, loading format, delivery basis, freight to the destination, the documents and inspection required, and the market situation at the time of the offer. This is why the price is calculated for a specific request rather than published.
