Road freight of cargo from Europe

We arrange road supply for companies and sole traders: a dedicated truck or a groupage shipment, collection from the European supplier and delivery to the agreed point.

  • Dedicated trucks and groupage cargo
  • Documents and the customs side
  • A quote based on the parameters of the specific supply

When road freight from Europe is needed

The goods are bought and need to be moved

The EU supplier is ready to ship and the buyer arranges the transport.

The consignment is smaller than a truck

The volume does not justify a dedicated vehicle — a groupage shipment fits.

You need more than a truck — you need the documents too

Besides the transport, the documents have to be assembled and the cargo taken through clearance.

Dimensions or packaging are non-standard

Dimensions, packaging, transport conditions or classification call for a dedicated solution.

Where we collect the cargo from

We arrange collection of cargo from European countries and road transport onward. We work both with dedicated trucks and with groupage shipments. The specific route, loading point and transport scheme are determined by the parameters of the deal.

Give us the shipper address and we will confirm whether transport can be positioned and propose a scheme.

Dedicated trucks and groupage cargo from Europe

We handle both full loads and partial consignments. The format is selected according to the parameters of the shipment.

Dedicated truck (FTL)

The vehicle is dedicated to one client's cargo. Suited to large consignments and to shipments where an individual transport scheme and the fewest additional handling operations matter.

Groupage cargo (LTL)

The consignment travels together with cargo from other shippers and you pay for the space actually used. Suited to small and partial consignments, when a dedicated truck is not economically justified.

If it is not clear which format fits, send the cargo parameters and we will quote both options.

Which cargo we carry and in what vehicles

The vehicle type is selected to match the characteristics of the specific cargo: weight and dimensions, packaging type, transport condition requirements and any need for special securing.

  • Industrial equipment and components
  • Spare parts and consumables
  • Industrial chemicals and raw materials
  • Finished goods in consumer packaging
  • Out-of-gauge and heavy items

Curtain-sided, insulated and refrigerated vehicles and flatbeds for out-of-gauge cargo — the choice is made according to the parameters of the shipment.

Dangerous goods. Some items fall under ADR requirements — more on the page about dangerous goods transport.

Temperature control. If the cargo requires a maintained temperature, the conditions are agreed in advance — temperature-controlled transport.

What arranging the transport includes

Turkey Logistic arranges and coordinates the transport process: agreeing terms with the shipper, positioning the vehicle, the movement of the cargo, preparing and reconciling the documents and the interaction of the participants at every stage.

Where a stage requires a separate professional competence — customs clearance, cargo insurance, special permits — we bring in specialist participants and coordinate their work. For the client the process remains a single managed loop: we coordinate the participants and the stages of the deal within the agreed working model.

How the transport runs

  1. 01

    Enquiry and parameters

We receive the data on the cargo and the points and clarify anything missing.

  2. 02

    Quotation and agreement

We propose the transport format, the terms and the working procedure. The arrangements are put in writing.

  3. 03

    Collection and loading

We agree the positioning of the vehicle with the shipper and check the loading and the issuing of the shipping documents.

  4. 04

    Clearance and transit

We arrange the export procedures and accompany the cargo along the route.

  5. 05

    Arrival and handover

The cargo arrives at the agreed point and we hand over the set of documents for the shipment.

Road transport documents

The basic set for an international road shipment:

  • The contract and its annexes
  • Invoice — the commercial document for the supply
  • Packing list — the composition of the shipment, weight and number of packages
  • CMR — the international consignment note; a single note can cover several packages of one shipment

Additional documents are determined by the commodity: permit documentation, certificates and cargo classification documents. We establish the composition of the package before dispatch, not en route.

Customs clearance and delivery terms

Export clearance in the country of departure and import clearance are two different procedures with different participants. Which party is responsible for each is determined by the Incoterms delivery terms.

EXW

The buyer arranges everything from loading at the seller.

FCA

The seller hands the cargo to the carrier and completes export clearance.

DAP

The seller delivers to the agreed place; import clearance is on the buyer.

Turkey Logistic coordinates the procedures and brings in specialist participants where the status of a customs representative is required.

Customs clearance of cargo

What cost and lead time depend on

  • Gross weight and the volume occupied
  • The number of packages and the packaging type
  • Shipping format: a dedicated truck or groupage cargo
  • The vehicle type matched to the cargo characteristics
  • The collection point and the delivery point
  • The Incoterms delivery terms
  • The scope of clearance required and insurance

Groupage shipments additionally depend on how quickly a consignment builds up for the route. We quote the cost and an indicative lead time against the specific cargo parameters — there is no universal tariff in international transport.

Where a supply most often breaks down

The supplier terms do not match the buyer expectations

The seller will only ship on its own terms while the buyer expected different ones. We sort this out before dispatch, not after.

Items of different status in one shipment

Some goods may fall under restrictions and some may not. The shipment is possible but requires the documents to be prepared separately.

The commodity has been identified inaccurately

A classification error surfaces at clearance and stops the cargo.

The packaging is not designed for international transport

We agree the packaging requirements with the shipper in advance.

We do not take on shipments that we cannot carry out lawfully. If a shipment is not possible, we say so before the work begins.
