Grades

Four grades of technical granulated sulphur

All four grades are supplied as granules. The grade is selected against your process and the target specification. Availability of a specific grade, volume and shipment period is confirmed for each lot.

9998Sulphur min. 99.98%

The highest purity in the range, with the tightest limits on ash, organic matter and acidity. For buyers whose specification requires these limits.

9995Sulphur min. 99.95%

High-purity grade with slightly wider limits than 9998. Suitable where your target specification accepts these values.

9990Sulphur min. 99.90%

Grade with moderate limits on impurities. The same granule size requirement applies as for 9998 and 9995.

9950Sulphur min. 99.50%

The grade with the widest limits in the range. Granule size is not standardised for this grade in the reference specification.

Not sure which grade you need? Select “Please recommend” in the form and share your application and target specification — we will propose suitable options for the available lots.

Applications

Where granulated sulphur is used

We supply industrial buyers. Suitability for a specific process is assessed against the buyer’s technical requirements before an offer is made.

Fertilizers

Fertilizer production

Sulphur is a raw material for sulphuric acid used in phosphate fertilizer production and for sulphur-containing fertilizers.

Acid plants

Sulphuric acid

Sulphur is burned to sulphur dioxide and converted to sulphuric acid. Purity, ash and acidity limits follow the plant’s specification.

Chemicals

Chemical processing

Supply for chemical producers after the required grade, impurity limits and documents are agreed.

Trade

Traders and distributors

Lots for international traders and distributors, with documents issued per lot for onward sale.

Other industrial applications are considered only after we review the buyer’s requirements and confirm that a suitable lot is available.

Origin and export compliance

Origin confirmed per lot

Turkey Logistic is a Turkey-based trade and logistics operator, not a producer. Goods can ship from the country of origin directly to your destination; transit through Turkey is not required.

Export rules in origin countries can change. Before a contract is signed, we check the current export regime, lot availability and route, and confirm them in writing. Supply is arranged in compliance with applicable export and customs requirements.

Potential origins include Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, subject to lot availability, export regulations and route confirmation. Origin is confirmed per lot and stated in the certificate of origin.

We do not substitute the agreed origin without the buyer’s approval.

Packaging and shipment

Bulk, big bags or containers

The packaging and shipment format are confirmed for each lot, depending on the origin, route, destination and volume. Transport is arranged as sea freight or road freight, depending on the route.

Bulk

Bulk shipment

For larger volumes where the route and the loading and discharge ports allow bulk handling.

Big bags

Big bags

Soft containers for easier handling, storage and partial deliveries. Bag type is agreed per lot.

Containers

Container shipment

Big bags loaded into containers when the route and destination require container transport.

All formats are subject to lot confirmation. We do not publish fixed lead times: the shipment period is set for the confirmed lot and route.

Incoterms and delivery

FOB, CFR and CIF for confirmed routes

Named ports are stated in the offer only after the route is confirmed. Other delivery bases are discussed once the route and destination are clear.

FOB

The goods are loaded at the named port of shipment; the buyer arranges the main sea freight.

CFR

Freight to the named port of destination is arranged on the seller’s side.

CIF

As CFR, plus cargo insurance for the carriage to the named port of destination.

Import formalities at destination depend on the buyer’s country. Where needed, we can discuss customs clearance support and end-to-end supply.

Documents and inspection

Documents issued for each lot

The final document set is agreed in the contract. Tell us which documents your bank, customs or plant requires, and we will check them before the offer.

Granulated sulphur supply: grades, documents and logistics

Granulated sulphur, also written granulated sulfur or granular sulfur, is technical sulphur in the form of solid granules. It is bought mainly by fertilizer and sulphuric acid producers, chemical plants and traders. For an international buyer, the key questions are the grade, the documents issued for the lot, the packaging and the delivery basis to the destination port.

Turkey Logistic organises the supply as a Turkey-based trade and logistics operator: we check the lot and its specification, the export regime of the origin country and the route, then agree the terms in the contract. You can learn more about our company or contact our office directly.

Sulphur or sulfur?

Both spellings refer to the same element. “Sulphur” is the traditional British spelling and “sulfur” is used in American English and in chemical nomenclature. Trade documents, tenders and specifications may use either form.

Granulated, granular, lump and powder

Granulated and granular sulphur are the same product form: solid granules. Compared with lump sulphur, granules have a more uniform shape and size, which helps with handling, storage and dosing. Powdered sulphur is a separate product with a fine particle size and is not covered by this offer.

How to choose a grade

Start with your process requirements: the minimum sulphur content and the limits on ash, organic matter, acidity and water. If your specification also sets a granule size requirement, note that the reference specification sets it for grades 9998, 9995 and 9990 and does not standardise it for 9950.

Documents

Each lot is supplied with its specification, a quality certificate or COA, a certificate of origin, and commercial and transport documents. An SDS and independent inspection can be arranged on request, subject to confirmation.

Packaging and logistics

Bulk, big bags and containers are possible, subject to lot confirmation. The choice depends on the volume, the ports of loading and discharge, and the storage conditions at destination. The delivery basis — FOB, CFR or CIF — is fixed once the route is confirmed.

What affects the price

The price per metric ton depends on the grade, lot volume, origin, packaging, Incoterm, freight to the destination, the documents and inspection required, and market conditions at the time of the offer. For an accurate calculation, send the destination, volume and requirements through the form below.

Submit your purchasing requirements

Share the destination, grade, volume and documents you need. We check lot availability, the export regime and the route, then send the specification and supply terms. Price, lead time and minimum lot are calculated only after we receive these details.
